Torbi

We are very sad to share a sad event which occurred on October 19, 2014.  Tabi (new name) passed away from a saddle thrombosis.  It is a painful and sudden condition with no effective treatment.  Our hearts go out to Tabi's adoptive mom who loved her little girl very much.  Their life together was far too short, less than six months; but during that time, Torbi could not have had a more lovely and loving home.

ADOPTED!

Torbi
Color:      DSH Tabby/Calico with white
Age:        Adult (born late 2007)
Gender:   Spayed Female

History:
Torbi was living in the main foster home of the Last Chance Cat Ranch until the home suffered a devastating fire in March, 2013. Many dear cats lost their lives that day.  Torbi did not - in fact, by some miracle, she had no injuries at all.  But, sadly, her best kitty-friend, Bob, did not escape. Surely she must wonder where her friend is.  The two who were never far apart, would always greet each other with head butts and sometimes curl up together for a peaceful snooze. After the loss, Torbi and some of the other survivors were placed temporarily in PAW foster homes and now, PAW is helping some of those find permanent homes.

Torbi was originally taken into the Last Chance system as a six month old stray in early May, 2008.  At that time, she had obvious frost-bite injury to the tips of her ears so it's likely she spent a serious amount of time outdoors during the preceding months. She has been waiting since then to be chosen for adoption. We think she's waited long enough, don't you?

Personality:
It would be hard to find a more sweet-natured, easy-going little lady. She is patient and quiet. She'll wait for you to notice her, then respond with loving enthusiasm. When it's time to eat, she sits at her dish, waiting for her food. She enjoys sipping from a drippy tap. She has the best years yet to share her gentle little soul with some lucky human. She does extremely well with other cats.  She has recently discovered that playing with Tiger is quite a lot of fun.  They both like to scoot their toys around and wrestle with each other.
