Ivy

Another devastating loss for PAW. Little Ivy lost her life on December 22, 2023. She'd had an upper respiratory infection but was recovering nicely with the help of antibiotics. On December 20, she started vomiting. Thinking it was likely a reaction to the antibiotic, we stopped giving it to her but the vomiting continued into the next day. She was taken to see her veterinarian on the morning of December 22. She tested negative for Feline Leukemia but during the appointment her little life began slipping away. Her heart beat was weak and shortly thereafter her heart went into arrhythmia. She passed away in the arms of her foster mom. Unfortunately we will never know why this happened. Her veterinarian suggested it could have had a genetic component but whatever the reason, we deeply mourn the loss of this beautiful and happy little soul.
